McCall questions late award

02 Nov 2008 - 14:20:23

Bradford City manager Stuart McCall questioned the decision to award Barnet a controversial late equaliser during Saturday's 3-3 draw at Valley Parade.

Referee Nigel Miller ruled Albert Adomah's 76th minute effort had crossed the line after consulting his assistant as the Bees completed their fight back for the third time during a thrilling clash.

However, McCall claimed the goal should not have stood as goalkeeper Rhys Evans held the ball on his line.

"Rhys was adamant the ball didn't cross the line," said McCall.

"But I take two positives out of the game - taking a point after under-performing in the second half and the fact we scored three terrific goals.

"The downside was the first two goals were absolute joke goals, the result of poor defending.

"We said that Barnet's front players would cause us problems and I thought that with their second-half performance they fully merited to get back on level terms."
