McCall keen to keep Furman
13 Oct 2008 - 14:57:53
Bradford City manager Stuart McCall hopes to persuade loanee Dean Furman to remain at Valley Parade for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old Rangers midfielder, who has started the Bantams' last three League Two games, is currently scheduled to return to Glasgow in January.
However, McCall told the Telegraph & Argus: "We'll see how Dean goes but we'd look to lengthen his stay if he does well for us.
"It's early days yet but he's enjoying himself here. I know he'd settled in well prior to getting in the first team.
"I'm pleased with what Dean's done and I still believe there's more to come from him. His game has got a bit of everything.
"He's got good energy to get around the pitch, can put his foot in, has real ability and can finish with both feet. That's the sort of all-round play that I like in midfield.
"He's always looking for the ball and is happy in possession. You can tell that he's been schooled well with Chelsea and now Rangers and he's got a really good attitude towards the game."
