Jones cool on Bantams stay

Bradford City loanee Steve Jones admits that his long-term future lies away from the League Two promotion hopefuls.

The 32-year-old joined the Bantams from Burnley at the end of November, but the Northern Ireland international doesn't appear keen on a permanent switch.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "I didn't really want to come this low (to League Two) but, with the size of the crowd and the stadium and the chance of getting regular football, it was a good opportunity.

"They're going for promotion and hopefully I can kick them on a bit. I spoke to Owen Coyle and he just said that I need to go out and play games.

"I don't think my future lies at Burnley, Owen's made that clear. My contract is up next year and he just said 'go and put yourself in the shop window'."
