Johnson out of derby
04 Oct 2006 - 15:35:03
Bradford City winger Jermaine Johnson will miss Saturday's local derby against Huddersfield Town because of a hamstring problem.
The Jamaica international had hoped the injury which forced him to limp out of last weekend's 2-0 win against Tranmere Rovers was not too serious, but tests revealed a tear and he will be sidelined for around a fortnight.
City physio Steve Redmond told the Bradford Telegraph and Angus: "Unless there's an utter miracle, he's not going to be fit for the derby.
"But we're hoping that it's similar to the one Alan Rogers did which kept him out a couple of weeks, so at best there's a chance of him playing in the Northampton Town game on Friday week."
