Evans opts to join Bantams

Gareth Evans has revealed that it took him little time to decide to join Bradford City.

The Macclesfield Town striker had been linked with a switch to Lincoln City earlier in the summer, but has no regrets about choosing to move to the Bantams.

"I got a call from Stuart McCall saying Bradford were keen on me and liked what I had to offer. Basically, that was then pretty much a done deal," Evans told City's official website.

"As soon as I knew Bradford were interested, that was it.

"If I'm completely honest, I wasn't a million miles away from signing for Lincoln. But as soon as Bradford came in, a club of this magnitude, all I wanted to do was sign here."
