Colbeck blow for Bantams
30 Oct 2008 - 07:05:12
Promotion-chasing Bradford City have been rocked by the news that Joe Colbeck will not be able to play again this year after cracking a bone in his foot in the victory at Grimsby Town.
The winger, who was carried off in the second half of the Blundell Park clash, will have to wear a surgical boot before beginning rehabilitation in December.
Bantams boss Stuart McCall told the Telegraph & Argus: "An X-ray he had on Monday proved inconclusive and so he had an MRI scan and it's shown a cracked bone.
"It's quite an unusual injury and Joe has been unfortunate in how he's managed to do it.
"It could possibly mean two months out. He'll have to wear a surgical boot for three to four weeks. It isn't like a proper pot so he'll be able to get physio on it.
"It's disappointing news and Joe is extremely frustrated."
