City: Windass happy to return

Bradford City chairman Julian Rhodes claims Dean Windass will happily return to Valley Parade should his move to Hull City collapse.

The veteran striker hit out at the Bantams earlier in the week after accusing them of "moving the goalposts" over the transfer fee they were requesting to turn his loan spell into a permanent move.

But Rhodes has held clear-the-air talks with the 38-year-old and claims Windass would be happy to return to the League Two-bound club should the two parties fail to reach an agreement.

"It's something that will get resolved in the next day or two or Dean is coming back," he told the Telegraph & Argus.

Referring to Windass' outburst over a reported £250,000 transfer fee, Rhodes added: "Sometimes Dean gets a bit emotional about things and he might have been caught at a bad moment.

"But he's told me that if he does come back, he will come back with all guns blazing.

"We had a long chat yesterday and Dean said that ideally he wants to go Hull but if he has to come back to Bradford he will and there won't be a problem."
