Brown loses appeal
01 Nov 2006 - 15:58:22
Bradford City striker Joe Brown will have to serve a three-match suspension after losing his appeal against the red card he received in Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Blackpool.
Brown was dismissed by referee Rob Shoebridge in stoppage time for kicking out at Seasiders captain Michael Jackson.
He will now miss this weekend's League One encounter with Brighton, the FA Cup first round clash against Crewe Alexandra and the league game at Oldham Athletic on 18 November.
After Saturday's defeat, Bantams boss Colin Todd had said: "I'm not sure the ref had the best view of the incident that led to Brown's red card and I'm hoping he will have another look at the video."
