Bradford 4-2 Barnet: Match Report
Bantams show spirit to record debut win
Managerless Bradford claimed their first victory of the season as they triumphed 4-2 at home to Barnet.
Peter Jackson resigned as Bantams boss on Thursday after seeing his new-look side gain only one point from their first four matches, and they fell behind after 16 minutes when Izale McLeod converted Ricky Holmes' right-wing cross.
However, the hosts - led by Colin Cooper in temporary charge - equalised a minute later when Chris Mitchell's cross from the right was headed into the net from close range by striker James Hanson.
Skipper Guy Branston then put Bradford in front four minutes after half-time with a header from Mitchell's free-kick.
And a third soon arrived after 54 minutes when Hanson tapped the ball into the net for his second goal of the game from another Mitchell cross.
Substitute striker Nahki Wells scored Bradford's fourth goal in stoppage time with a low shot into the bottom corner after neatly creating an opening for himself.
But there was still time for Barnet to grab an even later consolation, McLeod forcing the ball over the line after City`s defence had failed to clear a left-wing cross from Jordan Parkes.
