Bantams won't rush Daley

Bradford City boss Stuart McCall has vowed to be patient with returning winger Omar Daley following his lengthy injury lay-off.

The Jamaica star played 45 minutes for the club's reserves in midweek after turning out for the first time since damaging his cruciate knee ligament in February.

"It was good to see him back in a Bradford shirt," said McCall.

"It will have done him good to get 45 minutes under his belt and he came through unscathed which is good, though he did pick up a yellow card due to a bit of frustration.

"It was a good introduction back in for him, though he will need a lot of games before he's going to be in contention for the first team.

"He's been out a long, long time, so he will need a lot more football. We'll look to build it up from 45 minutes to 60 to 75 and then maybe a 90."
