Bantams rejected striker bid

Bradford City chairman Julian Rhodes has confirmed that he snubbed a transfer deadline day bid from Premiership side Wigan for veteran striker Dean Windass.
The Latics, who are managed by former Bantams boss Paul Jewell, offered £350,000 for the 37-year-old, with a further £150,000 to follow if the club retained their Premiership status.
However, Rhodes felt the offer was not enough to tempt him into a sale and flatly refused the bid; leaving Windass disappointed.
Boss Colin Todd said the decision to keep Windass was solely the chairman's.
He told BBC Sport: "It was his prerogative and he dealt with it the way he thought was best. I'm happy we've held on to somebody who can get the team 20 goals in a season."
