Bradford City have added Rangers youngster Dean Furman to their ranks on loan.

The 20-year-old midfielder has made just one first-team appearance for the Glasgow club, but captained their successful under-19 side last season.

Furman was recently named in the full South Africa squad for their friendly game against Australia in London.

"Rangers think very highly of him but they've just got Pedro Mendes from Portsmouth and Steve Davis from Fulham, as well as the American DaMarcus Beasley, who can all play in there," manager Stuart McCall told the Telegraph & Argus.

"Dean needs to get some first-team football under his belt and is coming to a club where he has a chance of doing that."
