Bradford City have confirmed that they have held talks with Darren Moore over a return to Valley Parade.
The veteran Derby County defender has been told he is free to leave Pride Park this summer and the Bantams are one of several clubs believed to be interested in acquiring his services.
The 34-year-old spent two seasons with Bradford in the late 1990s where he made over 65 appearances.
"Myself, (manager) Stuart McCall and (assistant) Wayne Jacobs have spoken to him and said we'd like him to come to the club," joint-chairman Mark Lawn told the Telegraph & Argus.
"But there must be eight or nine Championship clubs chasing him and every single club in League One.
"We have given him our best offer and it was good of him to come and talk to us."
