Bantams form delights McCall
24 Aug 2008 - 15:06:27
Bradford City boss Stuart McCall rated his side's performance in the 2-0 win over Rochdale highly, as the Bantams maintained their 100 per cent start to the League Two season.
Goals from Michael Boulding and Peter Thorne gave City the points against last season's beaten play-off finalists and left McCall very satisfied.
He said: "Rochdale are a very good side and it's a great achievement to keep a clean sheet against them, because they are a dangerous team and I expect they will be up there again this season.
"I saw a lot of them last season and I watched a recording of the Stockport-Rochdale play-off match on Saturday morning and listened to their manager after the game saying they were going to come back stronger this season.
"I think they are stronger than last season, but we are definitely stronger.
"We have made a great start and three wins out of three matches has given us a good platform."
