Jamaican duo Jermaine Johnson and Donovan Ricketts are set to put pen to paper on new deals at Bradford City before the end of the week.
Winger Johnson and goalkeeper Ricketts are out of contract at the end of the current campaign, but have been rewarded with new one-year deals after impressing boss Colin Todd during the opening three months of the current campaign.
"It sends out the right message if the club are to move forward. This will give us a bit more security," Todd told the Telegraph & Argus newspaper.
"They are both important players in the squad and we are pleased to keep them on board, but it is important now that, having got the new contracts sorted out, they do not allow their standards to slip.
"It was important that we did something because we didn't want to run the risk of losing them for nothing in the summer."
