Bantams close on Healy

09 Nov 2006 - 12:14:29

Bradford City boss Colin Todd is closing in on a loan move for Barnsley midfielder Colin Healy.

The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international joined the Tykes in the summer, but failed to start a league game for the Oakwell outfit and will be allowed to move on to gain first-team action.

Todd told PA Sport: "We just need to discuss his wages, we might need a little help from Barnsley, but I don't see any problems with that.

"Healy's a good player and will bring good ability on the ball. He can also help protect our back four as well.

"He's had a little bit of an indifferent time of it with injuries in recent seasons, but it's a good opportunity for him to come here and get regular games."
