Bantams clear-out begins

Bradford City boss Stuart McCall has released six players as part of a summer clear-out at Valley Parade.

Rhys Evans, Mark Bower, Paul Heckingbotttom, Barry Conlon, Keith Gillespie and Kyle Nix have all left the Bantams following a disappointing campaign.

Lee Bullock, Zesh Rehman and Matt Clarke have been offered new deals, but on reduced terms, while Luke O'Brien, Joe Colbeck, Leon Osborne and John McLaughlin have been handed better contracts.

McCall told the Telegraph & Argus: "Just because people are getting offers, it doesn't mean they'll accept them.

"They're all going to be on reduced money but that's the way of the world at the moment.

"But hopefully we can offer something that's a good enough incentive package to keep them."
