Jacobs has been placed in temporary charge at Valley Parade following the resignation of Stuart McCall and will be assisted by David Wetherall on Saturday. The pair will be without young Irish midfielder James O'Brien, who is out for around a month after having surgery on his nose. Striker James Hanson recovered from a torn back muscle to play the full 90 minutes of last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Bury and is expected to keep his place in the side. Fellow frontman Peter Thorne continued his comeback from a long-term calf injury with another substitute's appearance last Saturday but may have to settle for a place on the bench. Midfielder Stephen O'Leary upped his return to fitness with 67 minutes for the reserves on Wednesday following a fractured toe and could be on the bench once again. Bradford 10/11, Draw 9/4, Grimsby 10/3
