The non-league centre-back is hoping to impress Bantams boss Stuart McCall once again and win a contract with the League Two outfit. The 22-year-old hairdresser played in the 2-1 win over Burnley on Saturday and McCall was delighted the way he coped woth £3million-man Steve Fletcher. And the defender who finished the season with Northern Premier League side Bamber Bridge is hoping to shine once more against City's non-league neighbours. Williams told the Telegraph & Argus: "You can't put it in to words how good it feels. Saturday was brilliant. "To hold my own against a striker like that and for the team to hold their own against a Premier League club was different class. "If anything, I thought we looked the fitter side. Obviously Burnley are really good players on the ball but we kept at them and looked sharp. "I've been training with the team for a week and a half and we've been doing games, so I knew what to expect. I was well prepared and luckily just took it in my stride. "It's hard to judge someone on 45 minutes but it's looking good. The manager wants to see me again in the Bradford Park Avenue game and then he'll make a decision." Williams was on trial at Oldham a year ago - only to be stretchered off against Barrow midway through his first appearance. "I tore my ankle ligaments which kept me out for three months," he added. "The problem of going on a trial is that there's no security when something like that happens. But luckily I came through fine on Saturday and hopefully I can do well again. "It's difficult when you're on trial not to try to do too much. The manager here has told the trialists about that but you also have to give it your all because everything depends on it. "The situation is do or die because you've got that opportunity. You know that all eyes are on you with every touch and every position. "So you've got to stay focused and just concentrate on doing the job."
