Taylor surprised by brilliant Bantams

Late strikes from debutant Robbie Threlfall and Gareth Evans saw off Keith Hill's title favourites and handed Taylor his first win as Bradford boss.

Taylor said: "It was a brilliant performance, the players worked extremely hard for each other, they were together and they stayed together all night.

"In fairness to Rochdale, they are the best side in the division so teams are always going to up their game against them.

"This wasn't a lucky performance and I have to say I'm a tad surprised because I wasn't sure we could put in a performance like that against Rochdale.

"I'm delighted and the players haven't won for such a long time that the dressing room was a very happy place. They have to keep that going now."
