Taylor pleased by PA test

Bradford manager Peter Taylor was pleased his side were given a scare in their 4-0 derby win over Bradford Park Avenue. Despite the comprehensive scoreline, Avenue nearly opened the scoring twice as the League Two side made a slow start to their first and only home friendly. However, Steve Williams gave Bradford the lead just after the half hour mark, while further strikes from Louis Moult, Gareth Evans and Scott Neilson sealed the rout. "Good friendlies are when you get some negative things you can put right," said Taylor to the Telegraph and Argus. "We started poorly and Avenue should've scored with a really good move early doors. But overall, over the 90 minutes, there were a lot more pluses." "We looked a strong squad. All of a sudden the injuries have got better, which is good news for us."
