Taylor bemoans fall in standards

The Bantams, who had won two of their previous three matches under new boss Taylor, took the lead in the first half through on-loan Liverpool defender Robbie Threlfall's free-kick, but Vale equalised through Marc Richards and secured the win thanks to a stunning Rob Taylor strike.[LNB]Taylor said: "Port Vale deserved to win and we played poorly. No-one wants to play poorly, but sometimes it happens.[LNB]"We set our standards in beating Rochdale and Rotherham, when I really enjoyed watching the boys play, but we fell well below those standards in this game.[LNB]"The two goals we conceded were poor from our point of view and there's still a lot to work on. We also looked as though there were some tired legs out there, which obviously didn't help.[LNB]"But you don't expect to win every game when you take over a team who are 18th in the table and I'm sure we are making progress. The bottom line is Port Vale played very well and we didn't."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
