Bradford midfielder David Syers has been named the players' player of the year in his first season with the club. The 23-year-old has been a big hit at Valley Parade, establishing himself as a firm fans' favourite since arriving from Harrogate Town in the summer and signing his first professional contract under previous City manager Peter Taylor. Syers, whose former clubs also include Ossett Albion and Farsley Celtic, has made a total of 39 appearances and scored 10 goals.
