Spot-on Daley downs Shakers

Resurgent Bradford hung on in atrocious conditions to beat Bury 1-0 and secure a fourth win in their last five games. Omar Daley scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot after 30 minutes. Bury keeper Owain Fon Williams brought down Jason Price and Daley converted the spot-kick for his third goal in two matches. Bury were dominant early on and Mike Jones drove a crisp shot inches over the crossbar. At the other end, Fon Williams was superb in beating away a point-blank header from Price. Lenny Pidgeley did well to save Steven Schumacher's free-kick as Bury responded to going behind. David Worrall went close for the hosts shortly after the restart before Ryan Lowe crashed in a low shot which hit the outside of a post in the 64th minute. Bradford almost made it 2-0 late on when substitute James Hanson was thwarted by a brilliant Fon Williams save.
