Ramsden blow for Bantams

Bradford skipper Simon Ramsden's hopes of making a shock return to first-team action before the end of the season have been dashed. The 29-year-old defender, who has made only three appearances for the Bantams this season due to complications connected with hip and groin injuries, had targeted a possible return at Hereford next week after his latest visit to a specialist resulted in a cortisone injection. But the Sunderland-born right-back has suffered another setback and will now play no further part. Manager Peter Jackson said: "Unfortunately Simon, who stepped up his training, has broken down. "Basically now we're ruling out Simon until next year. I'm disappointed for him because he has worked extremely hard to try and get back fit. "Simon is a brilliant professional and he does deserve better luck than this.
