New deal for Bantams boss McCall

20 February 2009 09:09
McCall has been in charge at Valley Parade since the start of last season and his deal was set to run out in the summer, but he has now committed to the club for further two seasons.[LNB]And he said: "I know (chairman) Julian Rhodes talked earlier in the season about back-to-back promotions. For me, by the end of the contract I'll have been here four years and I would hope we can reach the Championship by then.[LNB]"I want to manage in the Championship but I'd rather do it here in a couple of seasons than somewhere else now. I'm showing loyalty because I want to be here.[LNB]"If we got promoted and other teams came in, I wouldn't be looking to go. I don't want to go.[LNB]"It's nice to get it done and shows loyalty from both parties. I was happy to leave it until the summer but it makes sense if the two chairman are happy to do it now and I'm pleased they've acknowledged what I'm doing."[LNB][LNB]
