McCall turns attentions to Dale

Two goals from leading scorer Peter Thorne, one each from on-loan midfielder Dean Furman and substitute striker Barry Conlon and a last-minute own goal earned the Bantams their second home win in four days and their biggest victory of the season. It was the perfect response to consecutive away defeats at Barnet and Notts County, and McCall said: "There were a load of plusses in the match - five goals, a clean sheet, Peter Thorne scoring twice, Barry Conlon scoring one, Chris Brandon who has been out injured all season coming on for the last five minutes, and I thought winger Steve Jones was excellent. It should be a shot in the arm for everyone. "It's all very pleasing and we've taken the points, but it's gone now and our thoughts turn to Rochdale. You can never guarantee results in football but we will take a big following there and we've got to make sure we are committed and show desire. They are a good footballing side but so are we. "Football is all about taking your chances and defending well. We were working on Aldershot playing a 4-4-2 formation and then I saw they had three centre-halves on the teamsheet but they didn't play that system negatively. "We have a lot of pace in the side and I told the players we needed to get beyond their defence. I don't think they caused us too many problems."
