The Bantams were thrashed 5-0 at Notts County at the opening day before going down 3-0 at Nottingham Forest in the Carling Cup in midweek. And McCall said: "It's been a tough week, but the players gave their lot and we are pleased with what we have done. "We would have liked three points but we kept a clean sheet and there were some good performances from the players. "It was the type of game I expected. I was disappointed with the first half but we got stronger after half-time and had more of the play. It was a game of few chances." He added: "This season we have just got to get at it in every game. We might not have the flair players we had last season, but we can make up with desire, energy and hard work."
