McCall hails Bantams' character
County, who had former Bradford defender Graeme Lee sent off in the second half for two yellow card offences, took the lead through Craig Westcarr and then Delroy Facey, but Michael Boulding and Chris Brandon, in the 89th minute, forced a penalty shootout, which City edged 3-2.
McCall, whose side extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches, said: "I'm delighted to keep the unbeaten run going.
"I was very satisfied with the performance, especially in the first half. Hopefully we can get a home draw.
"In the dying embers of the game we were 2-1 down, but we pulled it back. Kasper Schmeichel made two great saves and Matt Ritchie is a good player and changed the game for them after coming on as substitute.
"I didn't want to see Graeme Lee sent off, but the referee had no option. There's a good mentality in my team and the fact they came from behind twice tells you a lot."
