McCall defends Neilson decision

The Hertfordshire-born winger, who signed a three-year deal at Valley Parade when he joined from Cambridge City in the summer, has been a regular for Stuart McCall's side, but started on the bench on Saturday when the Bantams lost for the first time in 11 matches. McCall said: "Scott's looked a bit jaded in the last few games. I wished I could have rested him against Notts County (in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy), but obviously we had to play six first-team regulars. "But I said to him beforehand that it wouldn't surprise me if he came on and changed the match. "He's played every game and I think he just needed a breather - and Brando (Chris Brandon) has scored three at home and has been flying in training."
