Bradford's new manager Peter Jackson could make changes for his first game in charge against Gillingham Jackson, who began his playing career with the Bantams, was installed as Peter Taylor's successor on a week-to-week basis last weekend. He is boosted by having no new injury or suspension problems, although skipper Simon Ramsden remains sidelined with a thigh strain and midfielder Tommy Doherty is still recovering from an ankle operation. Jackson saw a strong reserve team trounce Port Vale in midweek and strikers Gareth Evans, Scott Dobie and Jake Speight all staked their claims for a return to the starting line-up. Evans scored twice and Speight was also on target, along with Leon Osborne, while Jon Worthington, skipper at Huddersfield when Jackson was at the helm, is pushing for a recall. Striker James Hanson (groin) and midfielder David Syers (hamstring) suffered no reaction after returning to the side last week following injury.
