'Freak' goal sinks Bantams boss
The Bantams were sunk by a fortuitous Dean Moxey strike and were guilty of spurning several chances to get back into the game at St James Park.
"We are disappointed and you have games in football where you don't always get what you deserve," McCall said.
"You only have to watch the game to realise the goal that beat us was the freakiest goal ever.
"We have dominated the second half, but we haven't taken our chances.
"If we had come away with a 0-0, you'd have said it was a decent point, but we did enough to win it without being clinical in the penalty box."
