Flynn set to boost Bantams

Midfielder Michael Flynn will be included in Bradford`s squad for the first time this season against Hartlepool in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Flynn had surgery to resolve a double hernia during the close season and manager Peter Taylor is not convinced the 29-year-old is completely ready. Taylor, who must decide whether to start with Flynn on the substitutes' bench, said: "I still think he's training within himself and hasn't stretched out. That's the big worry." Skipper Simon Ramsden (calf), Lewis Hunt (knee) and striker James Hanson (hamstring) are still sidelined, but the latter is hoping to return to full training next week. Forward Gareth Evans could be rested due to a wrist injury sustained in Saturday's home defeat to Morecambe, so Jake Speight and Louis Moult will be hoping to start, while midfielder Tommy Doherty (ankle) is also doubtful.
