Evans suspended for Cobblers clash
Evans will sit out the first game of a three-match ban following his controversial dismissal in the midweek draw at Morecambe, where he was shown a straight red card for his challenge on goalkeeper Barry Roche.
Fellow forward Peter Thorne, who has missed the last seven league matches due to a hamstring injury, returned for the reserves in midweek but is not expected to feature at Sixfields, so Michael Boulding will be back in McCall's starting line-up.
Midfielder Michael Flynn has recovered from a neck complaint that had recently required painkillers and McCall has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side looks to extend their unbeaten league run to eight matches.
