Daley edging closer to return

The Jamaica international, sidelined since February after damaging both his lateral and cruciate knee ligaments, came through an hour unscathed in the second string's 3-1 defeat at Hull.

Daley completed his first 45 minutes of action for the reserves last week and will slowly step up his game time with a view to returning to contention for a first-team return early in the new year.

The 28-year-old showed he has lost none of his pace during his long injury lay-off with several eye-catching surges down the wing against Hull.
