Parkinson without international duo

Bradford boss Phil Parkinson has lost Rory McArdle and Carl McHugh to international duty for Sunday's visit of Tranmere.

Luke Oliver could be ready to deputise for McArdle, while Mark Yeates may come in for Nahki Wells, who is carrying an ankle injury.

On-loan striker Caleb Folan could be in line to make his first start for the Bantams and Parkinson may yet turn to the former Derby man to replace Wells.

"Just recently we've had some disruption for the first time through injury, but we've now got players I'm very confident can come in and make a contribution and we will definitely need all of them," Parkinson said.

Tranmere's Owain Fon Williams will be released by Wales to ease boss Ronnie Moore's goalkeeper crisis, with new loan signing Bradley Watkins set to provide cover at Valley Parade.

Fon Williams has been called up by Wales for the current World Cup qualifiers but Chris Coleman has agreed to release him for the Bradford game as both Rovers' back-up 'keepers are injured.

Jason Mooney is recovering from a cartilage operation and unfortunate teenager Sam Ramsbottom broke his ankle this week in training, forcing Moore to dip into the loan market for Aston Villa's Watkins, 19, on a one-month deal.

Midfielders Jason Koumas (groin) and Jake Kirby (ankle), defender Evan Horwood (groin), skipper James Wallace and winger Andy Robinson (both knee) all remain sidelined.
