Bantams to check on Mclean

Bradford striker Aaron Mclean is hoping to prove his fitness in time for the visit of Stevenage.

Mclean was forced out of last week's home win against MK Dons due to a hamstring problem and will be monitored. Andy Gray and Oliver McBurnie are on stand-by.

Defender Matthew Bates remains doubtful due to the hip injury that has kept him out of the last two games, so Carl McHugh is expected to resume at left-back, while injured winger Raffaele De Vita had an injection this week in his troublesome hip.

Defenders Matt Taylor and James Meredith are both unavailable due to respective foot injuries, while winger Garry Thompson is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up.

Stevenage will check on John Mousinho ahead of the trip.

Midfielder Mousinho, who rejoined Boro on loan from Preston on deadline day, missed Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Crewe with a calf problem.

Forwards Filipe Morais (thigh) and Lucas Akins (hip) shrugged off knocks to make substitute appearances against the Alex and are expected to be involved again.

Boss Graham Westley also handed debuts to defenders Bira Dembele and Curtis Obeng in midweek and they are set to keep their places in the starting line-up after impressive displays.
