Clarke making progress
Bradford striker Billy Clarke is making steady progress with a hamstring injury which has kept him out of City's last two games but is unlikely to be risked for the visit of Peterborough.
Aaron Mclean got another 45 minutes under his belt when coming through the first half of Tuesday's 3-1 win at Crawley as he battles back to full fitness following an interrupted pre-season, with teenager Mason Bennett coming off the bench to score his first goal since joining on loan from Derby.
"Billy's injury is just a minor one. He will be close soon again," manager Phil Parkinson told the club website. "He is an intelligent player and he has made a good start for us but we don't want to force him back. It is nice to be in a position where we don't have to rush him back too soon."
He added of Mclean: "He looked fresh and he was playing really well in the first half, and I was contemplating keeping him on at half-time, but I just felt we didn't want to ruin his work for the night by keeping him on 15 minutes longer and risk him picking up another injury."
Peterborough will check on Kgosi Ntlhe, Ricardo Santos and Jon Taylor.
All three players are nursing knocks following the home defeat to Sheffield United in midweek. Posh boss Darren Ferguson thinks centre-half Santos will be fit and is hopeful full-back Ntlhe will be available, although winger Taylor is more of a doubt.
The likes of Grant McCann, Joe Newell, Kane Ferdinand, Tyrone Barnett and Christian Burgess, who has now joined Posh on a permanent deal from Middlesbrough, are all options for Ferguson should he need to make changes to his starting line-up.
Jack Baldwin (knee), Gaby Zakuani (hamstring), Kenny McEvoy (foot), Michael Bostwick and Erhun Oztumer remain out.
