Davies out as Bantams chase history

Bradford are aiming to complete a historic win against Yorkshire rivals Leeds when they clash in the second round of the Capital One Cup.

However they will have to do it without influential defender Andrew Davis who is out for around two months with a broken arm.

Billy Clarke (hamstring) is expected to return while Mason Bennett could become available if his parent club Derby give the Bantams permission to play the on-loan attacker.

Fellow loanee Jordan Pickford will definitely not feature after Sunderland's decision not to allow him to play cup games meaning Ben Williams or Matt Urwin will take over goalkeeping duties.

New signing Casper Sloth is unlikely to make his Leeds debut.

The Denmark international midfielder signed on Monday but the game is likely to come too soon.

Defenders Giuseppe Bellusci and Sam Byram both start suspensions after their red cards in the 4-1 defeat at Watford.

Gaetano Berardi returns from suspension and will slot in at right-back but Souleymane Doukara, Steve Morison and Aidy White remain in the treatment room.
