International trio miss out for Bantams

Bradford's international trio James Meredith, Reece Burke and Lee Evans will miss the home game against Crewe.

Meredith made his senior Australia debut in Thursday's World Cup qualifying win against Krygyzstan, while fellow defender Burke and midfielder Evans are away with the England Under-20s and Wales Under-21s squads respectively.

Christopher Routis has returned to training after a calf injury and is available to fill one of the gaps in either midfield or defence and defenders Nathan Clarke and Greg Leigh are also in contention.

Striker Billy Clarke (knee) made his first start since August in last week's goalless FA Cup draw at Aldershot and is hoping to continue, while fellow striker Steven Davies, plus wingers Paul Anderson and Filipe Morais (all knee) are still out.

Crewe boss Steve Davis hopes to have Ryan Colclough available.

He was forced off during the first half of last weekend's FA Cup defeat by Eastleigh after hurting his back but Davis rates his chance of playing at Valley Parade as good.

Goalkeeper Ben Garratt is available after having the red card he received against Eastleigh overturned on appeal while Billy Bingham is pushing for a start following his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Striker Marcus Haber was given a late call-up by Canada having initially been on standby so Lauri Dalla Valle could come in up front.
