Doyle banned for Bantams

Bradford will be without suspended midfielder Nathan Doyle for their home game against Crewe.

Doyle was sent off for two bookable offences in last week's defeat at Wolves and sits out a one-game ban, but loan signing Kyle Bennett returns to contention following suspension. He was sent off on his debut against Preston.

Central defender Andrew Davies is hoping to be back in action. He made his first appearance following knee surgery against Preston last week but was rested for the Wolves game.

Striker James Hanson hopes to overcome a hamstring injury but defender James Meredith (foot) and winger Raffaele De Vita (thigh) remain sidelined, while midfielder Kyel Reid (knee) is out for the rest of the season.

Ollie Turton returns to contention for Crewe's trip to Valley Parade.

The defender has not played for the Alex since October because of a knee injury but played for the club's Under-21 side on Monday with no adverse reaction.

Striker Uche Ikpeazu scored in that game and the club are content with the progress he is making from an ankle injury while Mathias Pogba, who started for the first time this season against Sheffield United following his knee injury, has been wrapped in cotton wool at the start of this week to prepare him for the Bantams.

The Railwaymen's treatment table is not totally clear, though, with defender George Ray (ankle), forward Ryan Colclough (stomach) and striker Max Clayton (ankle) all still absent.
