Stuart McCall could fill Bantams defence with Toner

Stuart McCall has the option of handing on-loan defender Kevin Toner his first appearance as Bradford face Bolton.

Toner, a deadline-day loan arrival from Aston Villa, played in the City reserves' 1-0 defeat to Walsall on Wednesday.

The Bantams, who lost a half-time lead to go down 2-1 to Fleetwood on Tuesday, are set to be without Alex Jones and Matt Kilgallon again.

Striker Jones has been struggling with a hip injury, and defender Kilgallon was out again in midweek because of his shoulder problem.

Bolton will be without midfielder Jay Spearing through suspension.

The former Liverpool player picked up his 10th booking of the season in the midweek defeat of Rochdale and will miss the next two matches.

On-loan Wigan defender Andy Taylor is sidelined with a hamstring injury, meaning Dean Moxey could be recalled.

Bolton bolstered their ranks by signing former Manchester City and Wigan defender Reece Wabara this week but he may not yet be ready to start.
