Gillingham remain unbeaten

High flying Gillingham maintained their unbeaten start to the Sky Bet League 1 season by coming from behind to beat Bradford City at Valley Parade.

The 2-1 defeat leaves the home side without a win in their first four league and cup matches.

Bradford took the lead in the seventh minute when a low right cross from Billy Knott found James Hanson unmarked and he tapped the ball into the net from just outside the six yard area.

Gillingham hit back well and attacking midfielder Bradley Dack tested keeper Ben Williams with a 20-yard shot in the 15th minute.

The visitors looked dangerous throughout the first half and they finally got their reward with an equaliser in the 51st minute when Luke Norris beat Williams with a fierce 25-yard drive.

After Alan Sheehan missed a great chance to restore Bradford's lead by heading wide when Josh Morris' free kick found him unmarked in front of goal, lively Gillingham scored the winner after 72 minutes.

Brennan Dickenson's corner was headed goalwards by Adedeji Oshilaja and the ball appeared to take a deflection off Hanson before it went into the net.
