Bees miss out on League Two team

Wycombe have goalkeeper Scott Shearer, centre-back David McCracken and midfielder Tommy Doherty in the squad, which comes as no great surprise after the Chairboys led the league for so long.

Shrewsbury, who must win against Dagenham next weekend to earn a play-off spot, are represented by midfielder Ben Davies and Grant Holt, while Bury - who can still make automatic promotion - have a sole representative in their top scorer Andy Bishop.

Gillingham and Rochdale - both guaranteed play-off places - have one player each in the team, with Gills centre-back Simon King and Dale full-back Tom Kennedy getting the nod.

And the team is completed by Darlington defender Neil Austin, Bradford winger Omar Daley and Lincoln forward Dany N'Guessan.

League Two Team of the Season: Scott Shearer (Wycombe), Neil Austin (Darlington), Simon King (Gillingham), David McCracken (Wycombe), Tom Kennedy (Rochdale), Omar Daley (Bradford), Dany N'Guessan (Lincoln), Ben Davies (Shrewsbury), Tommy Doherty (Wycombe), Andy Bishop (Bury), Grant Holt (Shrewsbury).
