Bantams want Italian inspiration

The new design is similar to Italian side Roma's, with an all-claret shirt replacing the amber stripes for the first time in 37 years. Although the black away shirt does have two stripes coming down one side. Lawn also revealed the design was selected after demand from some of the club's supporters. He told the Telegraph and Argus: "We've listened to the fans who have said they would like a different kit. "Over the years, a fair few have come over and asked why can't we do something similar to what Roma have with claret and amber? We've gone and looked at a way of doing that and come up with this design. "But it doesn't mean every year we're going to go away from stripes and, of course, the away kit does contain a claret and amber stripe. So, between both, we do still have that."
