Bantams facing striker woe

Bradford manager Peter Taylor could be forced to bring in reinforcements as three of his strikers are expected to miss the start of the season. Player of the year James Hanson is struggling with a back problem, Leon Osborne is sidelined with a thigh injury and Omar Daley is suspended. Taylor told the club's official website: "I'll work out what I think is best for us and have a look around. But it's frustrating when you get injuries at this stage." Trialist striker Chris Simm will not be offered a contract after training with the Bantams for a week, but former Wycombe defender Lewis Hunt, who featured in all four of Bradford's pre-season friendlies down south, has impressed Taylor. Taylor added: "If all of a sudden Rams (Simon Ramsden) gets injured, that might hurt us a bit too much. Lewis is an experienced player and a good one. "That's an important area for us and something I'm going to talk to the chairman about."
