Bantams boss not setting targets

McCall, installed as Colin Todd's permanent successor in May 2007, almost quit at the end of last season after failing to steer the club to promotion, but was persuaded to stay by fans and will reach the milestone at Barnet on Saturday.[LNB]The Bantams boss said: "Definitely this season as it goes along, I won't be interested in league tables. It's only where we are at the end of the season that counts.[LNB]"With the squad we assembled last season we realistically aimed for the top three. So when we fell below that, it was a big disappointment for everyone and everything started getting negative as confidence dropped.[LNB]"To finish out of the top seven was a major disappointment, no doubt about it, because we should have done better.[LNB]"But this season it's about being realistic and we don't want to be aiming for stuff and falling short. But, like a lot of clubs, we have the ambition to get into the play-offs and will strive to get there."[LNB][LNB]
