McCall indicated that he would go back on his word to quit the Bantams if they failed to make the play-offs during the week and he was rewarded by goals from Dean Furman and Michael Boulding. "It has been a difficult week but I am already thinking about who we can get in and what we can do for next season," said the manager. "I will have the desire, there is no doubt about that and we will just see what happens in the summer and look forward to next season. It's going to be a summer of planning and preparing and we will come back fighting." "All in all its been disappointing but at least it was a nice way to finish - although we are not going to get carried away because we've won our last two games. "But I think the lads showed a really good attitude and desire to win the game and we got what we deserved. A lot of times this season we have sat in the dressing room and known that we hadn't got what we merited."
