Bantams battle for deserved point

Struggling Bradford upset the form book to take a point in a goalless draw against high-flying Rotherham. It was one-way traffic in a disappointing first half with all the chances falling the Millers` way. Kevin Ellison headed just over the crossbar before going extremely close with a curling free-kick, while Jason Taylor shot just wide after picking up a loose ball in midfield. Leading marksman Adam Le Fondre saw his shot brilliantly turned away for a corner before Nicky Law's effort was also saved by goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin. Bradford's only attempt on target came in first-half injury time when Omar Daley's shot was touched over the bar by Andy Warrington. But the struggling Bantams refused to lie down after the restart and Rotherham had to rely on the excellence of Warrington who made two top-class saves in the space of five minutes, first from Tom Adeyemi and then from Steve Williams at point-blank range. Rotherham could not recapture their first-half dominance and Bradford held out for a well-deserved point.
