Bad break for Bantams midfielder

The 23-year-old, who joined the Bantams just before the start of the season on a short-term deal, has made just one league appearance for Stuart McCall's side and his injury adds to a growing casualty list at Valley Parade. McCall said: "It's a nightmare. He's broken a little bone in the joint, which was only picked up when he had a scan. "It's a big blow for the lad and for us because he's just got to rest for a while now and keep his fitness up. Striker Michael Boulding has returned to training following a virus and goalkeeper Simon Eastwood is expected to be fit to face Burton on Saturday despite a bruised calf, but Peter Thorne, Chris Brandon, O'Leary and Matt Clarke all missed Saturday's win at Shrewsbury.
